Central Asian Equines Welcome to Central Asian Equines. We are committed to the preservation of the Akhal-Teke and the Caspian horse, two of the oldest and purest breeds of horse remaining in the world today, living pieces of history. Descendents of the same region, they are very different yet both ancient, noble, and revered. They have contributed their genes and beauty to numerous light horse breeds present today and are finally experiencing enough growth to ensure their survival for future generations to cherish. We feel humble to play a small part in the continuance of something more ancient and more mystical than ourselves. We have been lucky enough to have been taken along for the ride, as they say. We are extremely proud to announce that our homebred colt Samovar won Best Mature Stallion, Best North-American Bred, and BEST IN SHOW at the 2008 ATSA Championships held September 4-7, 2008, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.
